Canadian Solar Inc. has its global headquarters in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Its US arm, Canadian Solar (USA), Inc., runs the North America headquarters in Walnut Creek, California, and technical inquiries go to a service email address. The company describes itself as a PV project developer and solar module manufacturer, with over 40 GW deployed worldwide since 2001. Its three-phase inverters convert DC power from the PV array into AC power for local loads and the grid. Models include the CSI-50KTL-GS-FL, CSI-60KTL-GS, CSI-66KTL-GS and the CSI-25K to CSI-40K-T480GL01-UB series. The three-phase inverter line has protective circuitry and controls so it can meet the relevant codes and standards. The CSI-GL-WIFI and CSI-GL-LAN sticks collect inverter data over RS485 and send it to the CSI Cloud and CSI Cloud Pro platforms. They are IP65 rated for outdoor use. On its inverters, only Canadian Solar technicians may change the AFCI Level setting. Changing it can cause frequent false alarms or malfunctions.
