SolarEdge is a PV equipment maker. It calls its product line the SolarEdge power harvesting system, which is meant to get the most power out of any type of PV installation while lowering the average cost per watt. Its offerings cover home rooftops, industrial rooftops, carports and ground mounts. Its products can be mixed and matched into scalable residential and commercial systems. The SolarEdge Home ecosystem includes Power Optimizers, the SolarEdge Home Battery, the Home Hub Inverter, an EV charger, the Home Load Controller and the mySolarEdge app. The SolarEdge Nexis solution uses a DC-optimized architecture with module-level monitoring. SolarEdge's own sales training sets it against string-inverter systems such as the Tesla Powerwall 3. SolarEdge runs installer training through its online academy, with courses on SetApp commissioning and troubleshooting, technical support and installing the TerraMax inverter. When a qualifying product fails, the installer gathers measurements, error codes and photos and opens a support case online, and calls support if an inverter is involved. If the RMA is approved, the replacement ships to the installer and the failed unit is sent back. SolarEdge has support for the USA and Canada and a German entity in Munich. Home Hub inverters for North American markets can be ordered with a factory-installed cellular plugin.
