SolarEdge Academy

SolarEdge runs EDGE Academy, its online training site. It has technical training for solar workers at every skill level, from people new to solar to experienced installers and monitoring agents. The site offers training paths for new installers, experienced residential installers, experienced commercial installers, monitoring agents and sales reps. Each path lists the courses to take. SolarEdge Fundamentals is the starting course for all users. It covers how SolarEdge PV systems work and how to install PV-only systems. Experienced installers can skip straight to the 25-question exam and pass it with a score of 80% or better. Residential courses include Home Hub Technical Essentials, Home Battery Certification and Expert training, plus live in-person and live virtual sessions. Many of these courses count for NABCEP CE credits. To buy the SolarEdge Home Battery and get technical support for it, you need the Home Battery Certification. You must finish Fundamentals and the Home Hub course before taking it. Completing the No-Call RMA webinar and its quiz gives you access to the RMA form in the SolarEdge Support Portal. Fundamentals is a prerequisite for this course. The commercial track covers grid connections, PV and inverter installation, communications and field troubleshooting. Your SolarEdge sales rep can tell you about perks for installers who complete it. To get started, follow the EDGE Academy access instructions, then enroll in a course through the EDGE Academy link.

<!-- review notes

• sentence 2: support check: partial - Paths for new, residential, commercial installers, monitoring agents and sales reps exist with courses, but the journeys page does not explicitly call each path a list of courses; the 'Experienced Reps' heading is also not explicitly a path list in all cases (mostly supported though).
• sentence 3: support check: partial - Fundamentals is described as start/prerequisite and base-level for all users, with the skip option, but 'starting course for all users' is not uniform (e.g., Fundamentals appears only on some paths; sales reps' path lacks it). -->
