SolarEdge runs the Fundamentals course, a short online training with a mandatory certification test at the end. If you pass, you get a digital certificate. The course covers the benefits of SolarEdge solutions, how SolarEdge PV systems work, how to install PV-only systems and the main software tools, such as the monitoring platform. It is meant to give every installer entering EDGE Academy the same basic understanding of SolarEdge products, for both residential and commercial installers. Experienced installers can skip the lessons, go straight to the 25-question exam and pass with a score of 80% or better. Fundamentals is a required first step for other courses, including Home Battery Certification, No-Call RMA access and Expert Installer training. The course only covers installing and configuring SolarEdge equipment. Installers still need the trade and safety qualifications their company and jurisdiction require, and work done by unqualified people may void the SolarEdge warranty.
<!-- review notes
- sentence 5: support check: partial - Fundamentals is a stated prerequisite for Home Battery and No-Call RMA, but the passages don't say it is required for Expert Installer training, which is only called 'the next step'.

review note: support check: partial - Passages say SolarEdge's course gives a digital certificate on passing, which implies SolarEdge issues it, but no passage explicitly names the issuer.
