NREL

NREL is a U.S. Department of Energy national laboratory under the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, operated by the Alliance for Sustainable Energy, LLC. It is based at 15013 Denver West Parkway in Golden, Colorado. NREL runs a PV O&M collaborative working group within its Solar Access to Public Capital effort, which compiles O&M best practices and builds O&M cost models. Four PV research systems on its Golden campus, including a building-mounted array and a carport, supplied data to the IEA PVPS performance loss rate benchmark study. NREL has also published technical reports such as Weather-Corrected Performance Ratio (2013) and Preparing Solar Photovoltaic Systems against Storms (2022).
