Bill of materials verification
During installation, check the latest drawings and bill of materials, because kit contents listed in a manual can change after it is published. For modules, recommended preventive steps are to verify the power warranties and that the modules conform to their data sheet, and to buy from trusted manufacturers. As an optional extra, independent third-party labs can test sample modules at the factory gate or on arrival at site, and the results can be backed by a contractual agreement. For Light Induced Degradation (LID), this check helps confirm that low-LID module technologies were selected where relevant. Verification does not remove losses that have already happened: unexpected early losses still need confirming with IV and flash testing, or by an accredited PV test laboratory before a claim for missing power.
<!-- review notes
- sentence 4: support check: partial - The LID mitigation says to select low-LID technologies where relevant, but the passages don't say that a verification check confirms this.
- sentence 5: support check: partial - Passages support verifying early losses with IV/flash testing and confirming underperformance via an accredited lab before claiming, but don't state that verification doesn't remove losses or tie it as a combined requirement. -->
