IEEE
IEEE, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, is an international non-profit professional organization that works to advance electrical technology. Inverter manuals and datasheets list IEEE interconnection standards, such as IEEE 1547-2018, IEEE 1547a-2020 and IEEE 1547.1-2020, among the grid standards an installer can select. Some string inverters cite IEEE 1547 and IEEE 1547.1 as the basis for their unintentional islanding protection. SMA inverters offer a US country data set for UL 1741 SB with IEEE 1547:2018, category B-III. Large utility-scale inverter datasheets also list IEEE 2800 together with UL 1741 SA and SB and IEEE 1547.1 for utility interconnection. SEL protective relays follow the IEEE power measurement convention, which takes power flowing from the source toward the load as the reference direction.

- sentence 4: support check: partial - Passage mentions a US national data set for UL 1741 SB/IEEE 1547:2018 cat. B-III, but doesn't explicitly say SMA inverters offer it (implied by context only). -->
