Grounding cable fault
First, check that the AC cable is connected correctly at the inverter. Next, check that the insulation between the ground cable and the live conductor is intact. The additional grounding cable should be outdoor single-core copper wire with the same cross-section as the PE wire in the AC cable. Damaged cable insulation is a common cause of current leaking to ground. A cable defect can also cause insulation faults and ground faults, so compare this alarm with ground-fault and low-insulation alarms. Inspect the cables visually and test their insulation resistance. If these causes are ruled out and the fault persists, contact Sungrow service.
<!-- review notes
- sentence 4: support check: partial - The passages support insulation damage causing ground faults, cable defects causing insulation and ground faults, and visual and insulation-resistance inspection. They don't mention comparing this alarm with ground-fault and low-insulation alarms. They also don't call damaged insulation the 'common' cause; they say 'typical'. -->
