SEIA

SEIA is the short name for the Solar Energy Industries Association. Several IEA PVPS reports name the Solar Energy Industries Association as a member of the IEA Photovoltaic Power Systems Programme. Other members on that list include the European Commission, SolarPower Europe and the Smart Electric Power Alliance. The IEA PVPS programme runs joint research projects on PV power systems. An Executive Committee leads it, made up of one delegate from each member country or organization. SolarEdge sales training for North America sends homeowners to SEIA to look up the solar rebates and incentives offered in their US state. The same training also points to SEIA for incentives offered by utilities, such as special rate programs and rebates. A Sandia report on solar PV operations and maintenance standards lists SEIA among the organizations it refers to.
