Arc board replacement
Arc board replacement means swapping out the inverter's arc detection board, or the wiring box that holds it. It is the last step for ARC Protect and Arcboard Err alarms on CPS and Solectria string inverters. It addresses an arc detection board failure. The manuals give poor contact or damage of the board as the likely causes of Arcboard Err. Before replacing anything, make sure the logic connector to the arc board is secure. Then run the Arc Fault Test from the Settings menu. Replace the arc board or wiring box only if the alarm comes back after the connector check and the self-test. Some manuals say to contact CPS Service or Solectria after-sales technical service to carry out the replacement. A failed arc board keeps the inverter off the grid until the board works again, so replacing it restores grid connection. An actual arc fault, by contrast, can only be cleared manually.
<!-- review notes
- sentence 6: support check: partial - Passages say an arc board failure keeps the inverter off-grid until the board is OK and an arc fault can only be cleared manually, but not explicitly that replacing the board restores grid connection (only implied).
- sentence 1: review: partial - The rows support replacing the arc board or wiring box as the last step for ARC Protect and Arcboard Err, but they never say the wiring box holds the board and never name Solectria (the sources are Yaskawa). -->
