CEC weighted efficiency
CEC weighted efficiency is an efficiency figure that manufacturers give as a percentage in the technical data tables of inverter manuals. Datasheets often shorten it to the symbol ηCEC. It is listed in a separate row from maximum efficiency, so the two values are different ratings for the same unit. The value can depend on the AC grid voltage, so some manuals list it separately at 240 V and at 208 V. Microinverter manuals may give it only as a maximum value for a stated connection, such as 240 VAC single-phase. For some central inverters the manufacturer says the value was measured with the unit's own power supply (energy self-sufficiency) included. The figure also appears for battery inverters and battery storage systems, not only for PV string inverters.
<!-- review notes
- sentence 4: support check: partial - Separate 240 V and 208 V rows are shown, but the passages never say the value depends on grid voltage (only the SBSE5.8 differs: 97.5 vs 97.0, which implies it).
- sentence 7: support check: partial - Efficiency/power consumption entries for SI 6048-US-10 and SI 4548-US-10 show it for those units, but the passages don't say they are battery inverters, and u3 doesn't identify a battery system.
- sentence 7: review: partial - The passages show CEC weighted efficiency values for a Powerpack and for SI 4548/6048-US units, but none of the quoted text says these are battery inverters or battery storage systems, so the battery scope comes only from source ids. -->
