Inverters, inverter parts and battery equipment are heavy, so lifting them the wrong way can cause muscle strain, back injury or other injuries. Heavy or bulky parts can also crush hands, feet or limbs. Examples include an inverter roof, a backup battery and a frame with HVAC equipment mounted on it, all of which can crush someone while they are being lifted or moved. Working on the product carelessly can cause crushing injuries or collisions with edges. Equipment can also cause injury if it falls during transport or mounting. Use proper lifting technique. Where needed, use a lifting aid, a mechanical hoist, or a lift or hand truck. Installing large inverters takes at least two people or a hoist. Two persons must always remove and refit a heavy inverter roof. Lifting ropes, handles and eyebolts must be able to carry the weight of the equipment and must be fully screwed in. Do not lift several units at once unless the instructions say you can. Wear suitable personal protective equipment for all work on the product.

review note: support check: partial - PPE is required for all work due to crushing and collision risks, but attributing it to SMA specifically is not in the passages.
