The choke is an inductor inside the inverter. SMA inverters monitor the area around it for overtemperature. When the inverter's self-diagnosis finds too much heat in the choke area, it logs event 6511 (Overtemperature). This is a form of inverter overheating, linked to poor cooling of the enclosure. To fix it, clean the cooling fins on the back of the enclosure and the air ducts on top with a soft brush. Make sure the inverter has enough ventilation. For some models, the manual also says to keep the inverter out of direct sunlight.
