AC contactor
The AC contactor is a switching device that automatically opens the electrical connection between the inverter and the medium-voltage transformer. In the XGI-1500 inverter there are two redundant AC contactors wired in series, and a repair may require replacing one or both of them. For that event, power cycle the inverter first, and call technical support if the error does not clear. On CPS inverters, the AC.ContErr code flags an abnormal AC contactor, and a damaged contactor is one possible cause. Before starting a replacement, inspect each contactor for damage and confirm that the correct parts were delivered.
